Brad Conroy

Brad Conroy is a versatile guitarist, performer, educator, scholar, and music journalist.

Since 1998, Brad Conroy has dedicated his life to the performance, scholarship, and teaching of the classical guitar. During this time he has become an extremely accomplished and much sought after teacher. Many of his long term students have won competitions, entered collegiate music programs, and gone on to have their own professional careers, where the majority of his students are just looking for a creative outlet, a fun hobby, or a lifelong friend. Brad specializes in working with students of all ages, skill levels, and styles. No matter what your personal goals are with the guitar, Brad Conroy can help take your playing to the next level.

Brad’s teaching method is centered around classical guitar technique, but also stresses the importance of improvisation, jazz, modern music, music theory, as well as creativity. He works to help students develop a relaxed technique, disciplined approach, while also giving them the tools that they will need to grow on their own as both a musician and human being.

Brad Conroy has been on faculty at the Metropolis School of Performing Arts, Elgin Community College, the Music Institute of Chicago, and he maintains a private studio in Arlington Heights, IL.

Brad is also available for Online Lessons. If you are interested in studying with him please send an email with your inquiry.
